Frequently Asked Questions
1. Getting Started
What should I bring to class?
You’re welcome to bring your own mat or rent one at the studio. We provide all props, but you may bring your own too. We also recommend bringing a hand towel and a reusable water bottle.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable, breathable workout clothes that allow you full movement. Classes are practiced barefoot—please avoid socks to reduce slipping risk.
Which class should I take if I’m new to yoga?
We love new yogis! Our Level 1/2 classes are designed to be beginner-friendly. Simply let your instructor know it’s your first class so they can offer guidance and modifications.
How do I register for my first class?
Sign up for our Trial Membership and register online through our Class Schedule. If you prefer in person, arrive 15 minutes early for your first class and we’ll help you at the front desk. Be sure to download our app for easy and simply booking!
Can children attend your classes?
Yes — we welcome younger yogis, ages 10 and older! Students under 18 should be accompanied by a parent or guardian. For younger kids new to yoga, we suggest contacting us for guidance so their experience matches their needs.
2. Studio Policies & Amenities
Do you have mat rentals?
Yes. Mat rentals are included free with monthly memberships. At the NYC studio, non-members may rent a mat for $2. You can also purchase a mat on site or bring your own.
Is the studio temperature “hot” or heated yoga?
No — we don’t offer heated yoga, Bikram style, or “heated vinyasa.” We keep our studios at a comfortable room temperature (around 72°F). You may ask your teacher to adjust the AC if needed, though we don’t heat classes above ~80°F.
Do you have dressing rooms or showers?
At our NYC location we have three small dressing rooms, but no showers. In Austin, we have a locker room with showers and plenty of changing space.
What is the guest policy?
We love it when you bring your friends to yoga class! All of our memberships include one free guest pass per monthly billing cycle. Follow this quick and easy video tutorial to learn how to add your guest on our booking app.
Do you offer gift cards?
Yes! Gift cards are a wonderful way to share the practice and can be applied to any purchase with us. Purchase online HERE.
3. Memberships, Class Cards & Cancellation
How does your monthly membership work?
Monthly memberships are set up with automatic billing and include an initial 3-month commitment. After that, you can cancel or freeze your membership (for 1–3 months) by submitting a Cancellation Form or Freeze Form. Please allow 5-7 business days for Cancellations or Freezes to process.
Do class cards expire?
Yes — all class cards expire 180 days from the date of activation. Your class pack activates on the day of your first class attended.
What is your No-Show Policy?
For NYC Studio only.
We know plans can change - just cancel your spot if you can’t make it; only no-shows are charged. Thank you for helping us keep spots available for fellow students and respecting our teachers’ time!
No-Show Fees:
Class card / single class - One class will be deducted.
Unlimited or trial members - A $15 no-show fee will be charged to your card.
How do class waitlists work?
If a class is full, you can join the waitlist. When a spot opens, the system sends an text and email to the first person in line. You’ll have 10 minutes to confirm before it moves to the next person. Note: Waitlist notifications stop 1 hour before class time.
Can I join if I arrive late?
For safety and respect for others, we don’t allow entry more than 10 minutes after class starts.
Note: The 7:15 AM classes are checked in by our teachers — those classes are closed at the time that class begins.
4. Practice & Safety
Can I take regular classes if I’m pregnant or have an injury?
Absolutely! You don’t need to limit yourself to prenatal classes. Attend any of your favorite classes and let your teacher know about your pregnancy or injury so they can guide safe modifications. We also have a list of 10 helpful tips for practicing while pregnant on our blog.
What if I’m not flexible or fit?
Perfect — that’s why we practice! Yoga meets you where you are. Flexibility and strength come with time. Our teachers always offer modifications and options so every student can feel comfortable and supported.
5. Etiquette & Community
A few guidelines to help everyone enjoy the space:
Arrive early: Give yourself time to settle before class.
Silence your phone: The studio is a phone-free zone.
Keep conversation to the lobby: The studio space is for quiet and grounding.
Follow the teacher’s guidance: This keeps class flow clear and safe. If modifying, please let your teacher know and set up toward the back.
Stay through Savasana: It’s an essential part of your practice. If you must leave early, set up near the door and exit quietly before Savasana begins.
Speak softly: Be mindful of others who are still practicing or meditating.
Leave your space tidy: Put away props neatly, wipe down your mat, and leave the room ready for the next class.
Bring kindness: Arrive with an open heart and compassion for yourself and others.
